SORD 2018

The Statistics and Operations Research Day (SORD) was held at the PGIS Auditorium on October 13, 2018, by the Operations Research Society. It provided a valuable opportunity for undergraduates enrolled in the statistics and operations research degree program to gain practical experience in the workplace. The launch of "Optima," the Operations Research Society's annual magazine, at SORD '18 was a historic occasion. An additional highlight of this year's SORD was the "Operations Research Championship 2018," an all-island trivia competition put on by the society. Along with offering attendees a unique educational opportunity, the conference offered a forum for promoting professional and scholarly development among the operations research community.
