Operations Research Championship 2018 (OR Champ '18) is an All Island Schools Academic Writing Contest on Operations Research applications aimed at G.C.E. A/L Science stream students, in parallel to SORD '18. The objective of this article competition is to make the school community aware of operations research.
We are pleased to invite you to submit articles about the given topic "What is Operations Research?". The best article selected will be published in "OPTIMA," the magazine of the Operations Research Society.
You must include the following information in your article:
What is Operations Research?
History of Operations Research
Fields that Operations Research widely used
Examples of applications of Operations Research
Articles must be concise and readable, with a suggested length of between 350 and 1000 (however more than 350) words, and can be written in Sinhala, Tamil, or English.
